Preparation of Atomically Flat Stripped-gold Substrate for Self-assembly

摘要:

报导了一种用于扫描探针显微镜(SPM)研究的原子级平整金基底的制备方法.采用这种方法,得到了25μm2范围内,膜的平均粗糙度小平0.4nm的原子级平整基底,并且得到金以(111)面取向在云母表面沉积的实验证据,同时使用电化学循环伏安法和X光电子能谱对这种膜的自组装性能进行了考察.

Abstract:

 A method for preparing of atomical flat gold substrate was reported. A series of gold substrates were prepared with the method from 25 C to 270 C and were characterized by using Scanning probe Microscope(SPM). The results show that the mean roughness values of these gold substrates are smaller than 0.4 nm for areas of 25 μm2. A higher resolution image made by using Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) shows a hexagonal pattern of high spots with nearest neighbor spacing of 0.30±0.04 nm, which is consistent with a Au-(111) lattice. Meanwhile, self-assembled monolayer film of 1,6-hexanedithiol on the gold has been characterized by electrochemical cyclic voltammetry and X-ray photoelectron spectra.
