THE CRYSTAL AND MOLECULAR STRUCTURE OF TETRAHYDROTHIAZOLE-2-THIONE COPPER COMPLEX

Abstract: The crystal of tetrahydrothiazole-2-thione belongs to triongal system, space group R3c. There are six molecules in a unit cell with parameter a=b=1.5402(5), c=1.2528(19) nm, γ=120°. The three dimensional intensity data were obtained with PW-1100 four-circle diffractometer. 522 independent reflexions with I>1.3σ(I) were considered observed and used in structure analysis. The structure was solved by direct method(RANTAN) and refined by full matrix least-squares method, the final R=0.049, R_w=0.044.
The crystal structure of tetrahydrothiazole-2-thione copper complex shows that Cu is four coordinated and has nearly tetrahedron configuration.
