Dispersion of Metallic Nickel on the ZSM-5 Zeolites

Abstract: The morphology, size distribution and crystallography of supported nickel on ZSM-5 zeolites have been studied by electron microscopy. The obtained results are in agree with that given by X-ray diffraction. It was shown by bright and dark field microscopy, selected area diffraction that nickel particles aggregate as approximately spherical in shape having normal crystal structure of the bulk metal (f.e.c.) on the surface of carriers.
Some of the factors which have been found to affect the size distribution and the stability of the metal particles are: the type of support, the content of nickel, and the preparation method. etc.
