Study on the Reaction of Laccase and Hydrogen Peroxide by Microcalorimetry

Abstract: Study on thermokinetic properties of the reaction between laccase and hydrogen peroxide by microcalorimetry has been carried out. The rate constant of the reaction is k_1=4.15×10~(-4) s~(-1). The reoxidation of the product of the reaction of laccase with hydroquinone by hydrogen peroxide obeys Michaelis-Menten's mechanism. The Michael constant K_m equals 0.0392M.
