Crystallization Behavior of Poly(tetrahydrofuran-b-methyl methacrylate) Diblock Copolymer

Crystallization behavior of a series of newly synthesized poly (tetrahydrofuran-b-methyl methacrylate) diblock copolymer has been studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray scattering and diffraction techniques. The results show that the microphase separation and crystallization are very different from that of poly (ethylene oxid-b-styrene) diblock copolymer, the only one systematically investigated in literature. Our results suggeste that crystalline ability of the crystallizable block of such type of diblock copolymer is one of the important factors governing its microphase separation and crystallization.
