Abstract:

FTIR is used to study the adsorption behavior of the precursor powder of Bi-system superconductor ground in atmosphere of air and argon respectively. The results show that grinding operation in air causes chemical adsorption of CO2 and H2O from air by the superconducting powder, while the same operation in Ar causes no chemical adsorption. The adsorption mechanism is analyzed by means of characterization of the crystal structure of Bi-system superconductor.
