MEASUREMENT OF MULTIPLICATION RATE OF BACTERIAL GROWTH AND STUDY ON ITS THERMODYNAMICS PROPERTIES

Abstract: In this paper, we have determined the multiplication rate constant and activation energy of E, coli. at differential culture mediums using microcalorimeter. According to the transition state theory of reaction dynamics, the activation entropy (△S) activation Gibbs free energy (△G) and equilibrium constant (K) have been calculated. From these results some thermodynamies analysis about the bacterial growth metabolism have been made.
