Abstract: The crystals of complexes [M(H_2EDTA)H_2O] (M=Cu, Ni) are synthesized in aqueous solution. The electronic absorption spectra of these crystals are determined at room temperature. By using of the method of ligand radial wave function scaling theory of 3d orbit, the d-d transition spectra are explained quantitatively, and the d-electron transitions of the electronic absorption spectra are discussed.
