Abstract: A series of hindered triaryl-pyrazoline compounds have been synthesized. The photophysical behaviors of these compounds have also been studied. It was found that there were no evident change of the solvatochromism and the fluorescence quantum yield by the enhancement of the molecular conjugation and the inhibition of some specific bond rotation of these compounds. On the contrary, a remarkable effect on the photophysical behavior was observed when the intramolecular charge transfer ability was changed by the introduction of some substituted groups.
