Abstract: A new teflon isothermal dilution calorimeter for measuring excess enthalpies of liquid mixtures is described. The calorimeter has been checked by the excess ent- halpies of binary systems of cyclohexane+hexane, benzene+dichloromethane and acetone+water at 298.15 K, The results indicate that this calorimenter is applicable to both endothermic and exothermic excess enthalpy measurements.
