Abstract: This paper reports the establishment of the set-up of ion-neutral reaction and the measurement of the rate constant of the reaction O~+ ions with N_2 at 298 K. O~+ ions were generated by microwave and electrode in this discharge flow system, and the O~+ concentriation was detected by quadrapole mass spectrometer.
The specific rate constant obtained is
k=(2.50±0.52)×10~(-12) cm~3·molec~(-1)·s~(-1) (T=298 K)
