S-scheme heterojunction in photocatalysis Deadline for Submission: 2025-05-31 Guest Editors: ![]() Professor Jiaguo Yu Solar Fuel Laboratory, School of Materials Science and Chemistry, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) Research Interests: Photocatalysis, Electrocatalysis, Heterojunctions, Hydrogen Production, CO2 Reduction, Solar Fuels Special Issue Information S-scheme concept in photocatalysis has attracted more and more attention. Thermodynamically, S-scheme photocatalyst has the maximum oxidation and reduction ability, which enhances photocatalytic reactions. Kinetically, photogenerated carriers can be easily transferred and separated due to the action of the built-in electric field. Energetically, the photogenerated carriers have the highest energy. The purpose of this special issue is to collate and present some of the recent and important achievements in S-scheme photocatalysis research, further promoting the development of this critical field. |
