Calculation and Corrections of Kinematic Viscosity and Intrinsic Viscosity

Abstract: A kinematic viscosity equation is suggested for capillary viscometers. The equation shows good accuracy in a wide range of viscosity as well as the Reynolds number:
v=η/ρ=At-Bt~(-1)+C
where v is the kinematic viscosity, t is the efflux time, and A,B,C are instrumental constants. The terms of -Bt~(-1) and C are corres ρ onding to the kinetic energy correction and the drainage correction respectively.
