Abstract: Developing flexible, broadband, and highly efficient polymer-based electromagnetic wave-absorbing films is of great significance for high-frequency wireless communication and flexible electronic systems. Herein, a multiscale nanocarbon composite film based on an in-situ interpenetrating network is constructed to regulate interfacial carrier behavior and achieve ultrawideband electromagnetic wave absorption. The in-situ interpenetrating film was fabricated by first preassembling graphene oxide, multi-walled carbon nanotubes, Fe3O4, and Ag/CuO@CuS particles into a nanopaper skeleton, followed by vacuum-assisted infiltration with polydimethylsiloxane and subsequent in-situ curing. A blended film with a discrete filler distribution but the same composition and component ratio was prepared as a control. The results demonstrate that the in-situ interpenetrating structure maintains a continuous carbon skeleton while constructing a highly connected heterointerface network, effectively promoting the migration, accumulation, and relaxation of interfacial carriers. As a result, conductive loss, polarization loss, magnetic loss, and impedance matching are simultaneously optimized. The optimal sample, P4-i, exhibits a maximum effective absorption bandwidth of 6.64 GHz and a minimum reflection loss of -43.2 dB at a thickness of 1.7 mm, covering almost the entire Ku band. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, triboelectric output measurements, and finite-element simulations further confirm that the in-situ interpenetrating network effectively reduces interfacial charge-transfer resistance and enhances carrier transport and energy dissipation behavior at the network scale. This study indicates that interfacial carrier regulation via an interpenetrating network is an effective strategy for achieving broadband and high-efficiency electromagnetic wave absorption in flexible polymer-based composite films.
