Against this backdrop, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), in collaboration with Dali University, Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology, Changsha University, and Wuhan University of Technology, hosted the 2nd International Workshop on Solar Fuel (IWSF2) from April 12 to 15, 2024, at the Holiday Inn Qingchuan in Wuhan, China. The aim of this workshop was to provide a high-level platform for academic exchange in the field of solar fuel preparation, discuss scientific issues in this rapidly developing field, and offer researchers from different countries and regions an opportunity for face-to-face communication. After the conference, we organized this special issue on Solar Fuel Preparation in the Acta Physico-Chimica Sinica (latest impact factor: 10.8). All submitted papers in this special issue were peer-reviewed by the editorial board and external experts following the journal’s regular review process, and only those articles that passed the review were accepted for publication. This special issue includes a total of 19 papers, consisting of 4 review articles and 15 research articles. Among these, 6 papers involve H2 production, 6 focus on H2O2 synthesis, 5 are related to CO2 photoreduction, and 2 discuss the design and preparation of photocatalysts. |
